BCG extended an impressive 34 offers to the first cluster of IIM Ahmedabad Postgraduate Program in Management (PGP) graduates, which is the school’s MBA equivalent degree. BCG has led recruitment at IIM Ahmedabad in the past, including during the school's summer 2023 placement drive.
Around 47 firms participated in the IIM Ahmedabad placement process, spanning six student cohorts, each representing different industries: investment banking and markets, management consulting, advisory consulting, niche consulting, cards and financial consulting, private equity, venture capital, and asset management.
The recruitment campaign was conducted in a hybrid mode, allowing companies the option to carry out interviews virtually or in person. The flexibility likely contributed to the large pool of recruiters the institute attracted this year.
Aside from BCG, notable IIM Ahmedabad recruiters in the management consulting space included McKinsey & Company, Kearney, Accenture Strategy, Monitor Deloitte, Simon-Kucher, EY Parthenon, Deloitte, PwC, and KPMG.
In the investment banking sector, firms like Avendus Capital, Moelis, and HSBC participated, with multinational investment bank Goldman Sachs delivering the highest number of offers (eight).
Meanwhile, private equity and venture capital were also key recruitment sectors, with industry leaders like General Atlantic, Everstone, Elevation Capital, and Arga Investment expanding their hiring of IIM Ahmedabad graduates.
American Express stood out by making 15 offers, the highest in the cards and financial advisory domain. Additionally, firms such as Transformation X in Dubai and Arthur D Little in Riyadh provided international placement opportunities, giving students a chance to work abroad.
Placement for IIM Ahmedabad PGP clusters two and three is set to be held on February third and February sixth, 2025.
