Nina Peng, from New York, enrolled in the PKU Guanghua MBA program to progress her company, Nina Peng Dance Theater, where she serves as founder and creative director.
She wanted to live in a Chinese city and immerse herself in the history and tradition that would bring. Now studying on the campus in Beijing every day, she feels lucky that she is able to live out her dream.
Studying alongside her fellow classmates Nina has enjoyed both the social and professional aspects this provides, with her fellow MBA students providing connections that could lead to future career opportunities.
Yunus Isaac Hinawy left his role with PwC Liberia to join the MBA program. He felt that studying an MBA in China would provide access to quality education and a wealth of career opportunities. He knew that studying the PKU Guanghua MBA would offer exposure to top multinational companies through internships and even full-time roles.
Now studying in the program, he aims to gain further experience in the consulting industry, identifying top-level management consulting firms as his target after graduation.
As a foreign national from Liberia, he has found the cultural transition to be a challenge but feels the experience is providing more opportunities as he adapts to the local culture.
