The German newspaper Der Tagesspiegel and Deutsch Plus are offering a full-tuition scholarship at The European School of Management Technology (ESMT) for the full-time MBA program.

This scholarship, worth €29,000, is open to applicants from Germany who are first, second or third generation immigrants to the country.

ESMT was founded in 2002 by 25 leading global companies and institutions such as Lufthansa and Siemens, with the aim of creating a private international business school that had a European focus. The school maintains strong links with the founding companies who offer many internships and jobs for ESMT students.

Currently the full-time MBA program has 40 students from 21 different countries, and more than 80 per cent of the faculty has an international background. Managers who come from a diverse background are still under-represented in German industry, and for this reason, ESMT and Tagesspiegel want to support “talented young people and bring more diversity into the classroom”.

Applicants for the scholarship must meet the general admission requirements of the ESMT and also write a short essay in which they explain how they have approached the idea of diversity in their career or private lives.

Deadline for applications is the 15th November for the MBA commencing January 2012, for more information click here.
