Henley MBA student Kamru Mohammed left a good income and a stable 12-year career path in the healthcare industry to take a “once-in-a-lifetime opportunity” to broaden his knowledge at Henley Business School.
Now, with the skills he learned at Henley, Mohammed is the managing director and founder of Bright Sparks Consulting, a consultancy for companies in his area of expertise: healthcare.
Mohammed said his ability to do business has been greatly affected by Henley. He is now has gained management skills in addition to his information technology and project management knowledge.
“Henley gave me an idea of how to be confident when talking to customers and gaining new business,” Mohammed said. “Also, my MBA gave me the ability to talk about what my clients’ aspirations were; it made me look more strategically at the holistic level.”
Before gaining these abilities, Mohammed said he felt limited in terms of the progression of his career, like he had hit a “ceiling.” Luckily, he happened to find out not only about Henley Business School, but also the Henley Diamond Full-Time MBA Scholarship!
“I Googled business schools to see what they could offer me and, by accident, Henley popped up with an available scholarship,” Mohammed said. “Before I knew it, I was excited about the opportunity to learn at a well-established international business school.”
The international aspect of his Henley MBA now is helping Mohammed live out his dream of challenging himself to progress his company and his career.
“The richness of culture, experience and educational background at Henley all helped me understand and appreciate how people do business in different countries,” Mohammed said. “The MBA has a very global reach.”
