As well as becoming an expert in international healthcare Kéou Kadji is helping youngsters through her blog
Kéou Kadji is an MSc student at Imperial College Business School and also helps Imperial's globe-trotting students find their feet in London through her funny, insightful blog.Kéou, 22, has been on the MSc. International Health Management since September 2011 and started blogging for the business school shortly after she enrolled on the programme. She has touched on topics ranging from the dilemmas of holding down a job while studying, to getting a discounted student travel card, eating out in London on a budget, to flash mobs breaking out in classes.
Kéou responded to an advert by Imperial looking for current students to share their experiences with prospective students via a blog and, to her delight, she was selected.
What started as an extracurricular activity has put her in touch with people all over the world. “People write me all the time asking questions and I’m very happy to reply and give them all the info and reassurance I can. Doing this has enriched me so much on a personal level than my MSc alone could have”, says Kéou.
The most memorable email she got was from a 14-year-old Indian girl who dreamed of getting into Imperial and wrote to her asking for advice. It's messages like this that keep her eager to share her insight into Imperial.
Healthcare is an issue Kéou feels particularly passionate about. She wants to boost her knowledge and eventually improve healthcare provision in her home country Cameroon.
She gained her Bachelors in Finance with Business Management from Southampton Solent University in 2011 and it was while she was studying for that degree that she noticed that she favoured the management side of things. She hopes she can develop her skills and bring some solutions to “the messed up health system in Cameroon”.
Currently, Kéou is taking courses in Health Economics and the Management Challenges for Healthcare Organisations and is looking forward to working at a real healthcare firm for her project in the summer term.
She says she still isn’t over the excitement of being at Imperial or living in London and knows that there’s a lot more coming her way. Highlights of the experiences will no doubt be shared via her blog so stay tuned!.

Imperial college business school has amazing facilities, amazing staff. I particularly like the business school cafe although it would be nice if they added a few more power sockets in the open space and heating for winter.

Very nice facilities in the city center. Good sessions organised with employers.
Chinese students majored in English- now strategic marketing
My undergraduate major was English back in China and now an MSc student in strategic marketing at Imperial. For Chinese students who share similar experiences with me, you can get as much/deep as you want about marketing with some challenging group works and inspiring lectures. At the same time, if you just want to get the degree anyway with less effort, it's possible as well... ...
