PricewaterhouseCoopers is the world's largest professional services firm, and the largest of the "Big Four" accountancy firms measured by revenue. Headquartered in London, the firm has offices in 776 cities across the world.

Miranda Kalinowski is the Advisory Recruiting Lead for PricewaterhouseCoopers US, leading over 60 recruiters in the country and bringing on over 3,000 to the company each year.

Before PwC, Kalinowski was the North America Recruitment Director at Accenture for 16 years, so she certainly knows what the world's top firms are looking for!

How many MBAs do you hire into full-time roles each year?
We hire approximately 200 MBAs into full time roles each year and approximately 100 MBAs as interns each summer.

Are there any business schools that you target specifically?
We actively recruit on campus at approximately 20 of the top MBA programs in the US and consider referrals from our partners and staff from campuses we do not visit.

What kind of work experience are you looking for, alongside an MBA?
We start by looking for MBAs with experience within our key industry areas: financial services, healthcare, products and services industries (energy, retail and consumer, tech sector, automotive etc), and the public sector.

We are looking for candidates with a drive to deliver client solutions for critical business issues around a variety of competencies that include Strategy, Mergers and Acquisitions, People and Change, and Operations, and Finance.

Previous client-facing, professional services experience is an advantage but not essential as we have robust internal learning and development opportunities for incoming MBAs.

What is the MBA Summer Internship?
At PwC we know that MBAs bring rich work experience and knowledge, along with a highly valued degree to our firm.  We offer our MBA interns hands on experience with our clients within financial services, healthcare, products and services industries, across multiple geographies as well as services offerings.

Our internship program provides opportunities, through day-to-day work, for coaching and mentoring, networking, and formal training tailored to the interns’ individual needs.  MBA interns learn firsthand about our career defining opportunities, which include team management, access to senior-level client contacts, global client engagements, international long-term assignments, and internal 'tours' with leadership or within other areas of the business.

We also provide our MBA interns the opportunity to give back to the community through a variety of corporate responsibility initiatives.  You can see our full program and additional information on the MBA Summer Internship here: http://www.pwc.com/us/en/careers/campus/mba/index.jhtml

How MBAs do you typically convert into full-time hires after the internship?
We make full-time offer decisions at the end of the internship based on performance feedback and business needs.  Well over the majority of our MBAs are converted to full-time hires after their internship.

What's the typical starting salary for MBA new hires?
Starting salary for MBAs is very market competitive.  We offer a total rewards package encompassing competitive base, performance bonus, sign-on bonus, milestone awards, and other financial and non-financial benefits.

What are some of the exciting projects an MBA might work on?
Our MBAs work on a variety of exciting projects that get real results for our clients.  For example, our MBAs recently worked with a private equity mega-fund to help the company reduce costs, enhance operations, and ultimately improve the value of its portfolio.

PwC was placed in the top 30 companies where MBA students said they'd most like to work (CNN, 2012). Why do you think so many MBAs want to work at PwC?
We offer our people an opportunity of a lifetime. Our MBA candidates have the ability to grow and develop their career. We offer our MBAs:

- Opportunities to work with senior level practice personnel and clients

- Client delivery opportunities

- An immersive onboarding training

- Accelerated career potential
