Acknowledging the challenges ambitious professionals face when deciding to pursue higher education—including a wealth of program options ranging from MBA, business master’s, and executive degrees to online certificates and short-form courses—GMAC’s new ‘Advancery’ tool seeks to help people identify the right programs for their career goals.
The tool seeks to help professionals with a range of aims and ambitions, including those planning career changes, employees seeking to accelerate their career growth, and entrepreneurial-driven professionals.
“Choosing the right business school can be one of the most consequential decisions in one’s lifetime, and Advancery aims to make it informed and effortless for all the candidates out there contemplating taking the next step,” said Adam Witwer, chief product officer of GMAC.
The tool leverages AI to help applicants by providing up-to-date, verified program data for global business schools. Advancery users can also access in-depth analysis based on millions of online discussions from applicants, alumni, and students, covering subjects such as program types and return on investment.
After identifying target programs, users of the tool can explore and compare them side by side, evaluating various important factors such as cost, available scholarships, and time commitments.
To further assist with finding their right-fit program, Advancery is also designed to provide users with guidance on their career ambitions. A personalized skills assessment feature aims to help users identify their key competencies and find programs that fit with their individual career goals.
GMAC has also implemented a feature that will support users through their application planning once they have decided which programs to target. Leveraging built-in tools and tracking deadlines throughout the process, Advancery is designed to allow users to streamline their application management.
“This tool is kind of perfect. I don’t have to maintain an Excel sheet or another document to just go through the schools I’m targeting or what each one is looking for,” said Siddhant D., an early adopter of the tool.
Currently, the full suite of Advancery features are available through a seven day free trial. Users who complete the trial will then be able to continue as members via a subscription. GMAC has also confirmed more features will be added in future, including coaching and career path exploration services.
“There is no doubt that the global pipeline for higher education is changing, with millions of business-minded students and professionals looking to upskill, reskill, or change careers,” said Joy Jones, CEO of GMAC. “As GMAC and the global business school community adapt to meet the growing demand for quality education in today’s skills-driven economy, we believe Advancery will help candidates maximize success in their educational and career trajectories.”
