Wharton Executive Education has announced the launch of an artificial intelligence (AI) leadership course developed in collaboration with LinkedIn co-founder Reid Hoffman, titled: Leading an AI-Powered Future.

The course is The Wharton School’s latest move to integrate AI into its world-class executive education offerings, providing business leaders with practical strategies to navigate the rapidly evolving tech landscape and prepare for an AI-driven future.

The course is aimed at senior executives and business leaders across industries who are looking to drive transformation and unlock the potential of AI within their organizations

“Leading an AI-Powered Future offers executives a unique opportunity to engage with the biggest thought leaders at a time when AI is significantly transforming industries,” said Stefano Puntoni, the program’s academic director.

“Our goal is to equip executives with not just the insights but also the confidence to lead their organizations through this period of profound change. This program reflects our commitment to preparing leaders for a future where technology and human decision-making are deeply intertwined.”

Launching on January 27, 2025, the six-week live online program begins with an introductory session led by Hoffman, followed by intensive sessions with Wharton’s AI-expert faculty, including Ethan Mollick, co-director of the Generative AI Labs at Wharton.

Key sessions will touch on topics ranging from prompt engineering and AI ethics to the debate around human replacement versus human flourishing.

Beyond technical insights, Leading an AI-Powered Future will delve into AI’s societal impact.

Hoffman highlighted the course’s broader mission, saying, "Through this timely partnership with Wharton, our goal is to equip leaders with strategies to harness AI as a new form of intelligence aimed at extending human will and unlocking unprecedented potential.”

The course offers two options for potential participants to pick from. A cohort of 96 executives will join Wharton’s immersive WAVE Classroom, which will allow for direct engagement with Hoffman and Wharton faculty. The second option, The Observer Participant experience, includes livestream access to all six sessions and access to an expert-moderated Slack channel.
