This is the ninth time in 12 years that Kelley’s Online MBA program has topped the US News annual ranking of the best online MBA program in the US.
Further evidence of Kelley's pedigree: over those 12 years the school’s Online MBA has never finished lower than third.
This consistency is notable as business school rankings typically fluctuate and the top spot is rarely so steady.
Kelley’s Online MBA is the most selective program within this ranking, admitting just 27% of its applicant pool. It also boasts one of the highest one-year retention lists of 98%.
Over the past few years, US News has split the number one spot between two or three schools, however this year Indiana Kelley stands alone.
Last year's ranking had Kelley tied for first place with University North Carolina Kenan-Flagler which is now tied for third place with University of Southern California Marshall and Washington Foster.
Second place was Carnegie Mellon Tepper, a large jump as it came in fifth last year, rising three places and overtaking 2023 and 2022’s number one and two–UNC Kenan-Flagler and USC Marshall.
Despite slightly slipping this year, UNC Kenan-Flagler has been a consistent winner in this ranking, never finishing lower than third in 10 of the 12 rankings. The school has also been first six times.
Rounding out the top ten Online MBAs are University of Florida (sixth), Arizona State University, and the University of Arizona, both tied for seventh, while the Rochester Institute of Technology and the University of Kansas, are both tied for ninth place.
