Getting into business schoolis hard enough, we need a beer just reading about it! The test prep, sitting the GMAT, application essays, interviews, and fees.

Once you're in you're treated to 6am pre-class preparation, the 8am group coffee; the 9am lecture; the 12pm lunch date with a recruiter, afternoon case studies; the 7pm study group and the 8pm reading session!

Well, not to worry my young padawan, because b-schools either have or are local to some of the best bars in the world…here’s a few we’ve stumbled across:

Pussy Galore’s Flying Circus near Copenhagen Business School, Denmark

Pussy Galores

Too cool for school

If the name alone doesn’t get you to this local haunt for Copenhagen MBAs then you really must have seen it all. Named after the Bond Girl in the classic James Bond film Goldfinger, this place calls itself an advanced dinner and cocktail bar. Pussy's is popular with Copenhagen students and according to the CBS website, a "great place for gazing"!

Thunderbird Tower in the Thunderbird School of Global Management, Arizona

Nice Marlin!

Amber Giuliano, Thunderbird Social Media Manager says: “We at Thunderbird have a TRULY unique pub in that it is housed in what was the original air tower when our campus was a US Army airbase for training WWII pilots. The pub is truly a focal point of our campus and always THE place to be on Thursday nights.

"Housed in the iconic Thunderbird Tower the bar has libations from around the world on tap and on hand. The 1941 Tower was refurbished in 2011 as part of a student-led initiative to bring the building back to its original glory using all green building materials and techniques.”

The Windsor Castle near London Business School, UK

This pub has a "Pull akin to the gravitational pull of a black hole" says LBS student Manish

The Windsor Castle pub,  which is physically attached to LBS, forms part of the crown estate and has been owned by the Royal Family since the 1840’s. It’s a grand Grade 2 listed building close to Regents Park and Baker street – perfectly located for a post MBA class drink…"After 6pm on most days people head straight to Windsor to chat with other students (you'll even find professors here). The ambience at Windsor is very welcoming. It's a small place but it has plenty of room for students," Says LBS Alum Manish on this London MBA blog.

“During my MBA at SDA Bocconi, I was privileged to experieince the glamorous night life of Milan, Italy, where renowned global fashion houses and designer nightclubs give Milan's pretty young things a good reason to dress up and party” Designer nightspots include “Armani Privee, Just Cavalli, Marc Jacobs Café, Maison Missoni, D&G Gold and Circle (Diesel).

"After the 2 a.m. last call, party-goers continue their night at at the famous church-turned nightclub Gattopardo, or celebrity and athlete magnet Hollywood, known for its super exclusive VIP area and for hosting Italy's finest soccer and basketball players until the sun comes up.”

SDA Bocconi is renowned for the Rolex MBA Conference and Regatta, a four-day networking event that attracts more than 450 business students and alumni from 23 of the world's top business schools. The event is sponsored by Rolex and hosted by SDA Bocconi and the parties are "outrageous!"

The Salt Lick Bar-BQ near Texas McCombs

Top Schools for Bars_McCombs

A favorite feeding/watering-hole of Texas McCombs students, The Salt Lick is a huge, award winning BBQ joint which has played host to various celebrities including Sandra Bullock, David Letterman and Lance Armstrong. We found pictures of some Texas MBAs hitting the bar during orientation week, and it looks like a great way to get into the Texan sprirt of things!

More entries please...!

When googling the best drinking venues for MBAs I came across the Massachusetts Bar Association (MBA) and the Master of Beer Appreciation (MBA). Clearly the best way to add to this list is with your tip-offs so please send more pictures and descriptions of your favourite b-school bars to sian@businessbecause.com!!!
