Harvard Business School stamped it's authority in the academic Business School world by being the innovator of the case study method in 1920. The red-brick institution is one of the oldest and most famous business schools in America but is well known for keeping pace with the times, launching many online management tools for corporate learning. No minimum work experience is required for this MBA program. Many books have been published about/by HBS, one of the most famous entitled 'What they can't teach you at harvard business school'.

Other top-tier international business schools on the US East Coast include the Tuck School of Business (Hanover, New Hampshire), Duke University's Fuqua School of Business (Durham, North Carolina) and Georgetown McDonough School of Business (Washington DC).
